Matre Real Estate AS is a real estate company based in Oslo. The company invests in, develops, owns, leases, and sells real estate, with operations in Norway, Sweden, and Denmark. As a responsible actor in the real estate industry, we are committed to ensuring that both our own operations and our supply chain contribute to promoting fundamental human rights and ensuring decent working conditions, in accordance with the purpose of the Transparency Act.

Our approach to the Transparency Act

The Transparency Act requires larger enterprises to carry out due diligence assessments to ensure accountability throughout the value chain. At Matre Real Estate, we recognize our responsibility and have implemented measures to fulfill the requirements of the Act, in accordance with the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises.

Due diligence assessments

Matre Real Estate aims to conduct ongoing due diligence assessments to identify and assess risks of negative impacts on human rights and working conditions, prevent, reduce, or stop any negative consequences, monitor the effectiveness of measures, and communicate openly about our work.

We prioritize risk assessments of suppliers within construction and maintenance, and aim to set clear requirements through our agreements and collaboration routines.

Guidelines and measures

We have established ethical guidelines and have implemented measures to promote accountability in our operations and supply chain. This includes requirements for suppliers and partners regarding compliance with human rights and decent working conditions, procedures for whistleblowing and handling of reportable conditions, as well as internal awareness-raising regarding ethical trade and social responsibility.

Right to information

Pursuant to Section 6 of the Transparency Act, everyone has the right to request information about how we address actual and potential adverse impacts related to human rights and decent working conditions within our operations and supply chain.
